The second lecture
"The Attainment and the Perfection of Raja Yoga".


The most important precept which is prohibited

Through all I had talked, I think the most important thing is "not to tell passive lie". The first thing you should do is "to practice what you have decided or what you have said".

I recently practice 98%, but it seems that I speak 2% of lies because I am too busy. There are 1 or 2 weeks of delayance for the realization.

For example, I had promised to members that the Kyushu Branch Center shall open at the beginning of September. Since the contract will be at work from October 15th, it proves my weakening of will for 45 days. The plan for building the headquarter at Shizuoka is also being delayed because the price of the land is extremely high.

Why do I announce such things to you and try to practice as it is? I am trying to practice what I had declared. Since I give Shakti- pat, there are possibility that my power of will is getting weaker. Actually, there is influence of Shakti-pat manifesting. So I am trying to recover the present state with all my effort.

Offering as the basement of merito

What I had been talking about is the precepts so called Yama, the prohibision. I am sure you know about the Niyama, the recommendation. They are three types of offerings.

The first out of three offerings are the offering of money and goods. There are three parts in the offering of money and goods. The most meritorious offering is when you offer to the stream of the truth. By this offering, you are sure to meet teh truth in your next life. The practitioners of the truth naturally practice the salvation activities. So they will give you power to overcome hardships when it comes.

Next is the offering toward the poor. The poor does not mean the people who can't eat because they don't work. It means the people who can't eat even if they work, or the people who can't eat because of unemployment. If you do great amount of offering to such people, somebody are sure to come to you so as to help you. Or somebody will surely give economical aid to you when you find hardship in your future life.

There are third type of offering which will not be so meritorious to you. It is the social offering such as offering toward school, public institution, or welfere. Some people think that it is effective to give offering to-+ welfare organization. But the fact is not so because such money will be used as the administration of the organization like.

Now, the first was the offering of money and goods. Second is the offering of comfort. To listen to other's suffering and to give comfort to people at the time when one is most suffering by oneself is the best type of offering of comfort. By this merit, somebody is sure to appear in front of you to listen to your annoyance when you are really suffering.

It won't be so much merit even if you listen to other's suffering and give people the comfort when you are happy. I am not saying that you shouldn't do it. I am saying that you should keep practicing the offering of comfort even when you are suffering by yourselves.

The third comes the offering of the law. The good offering of the law is to transfer the truth directly, because there are possibility to give wrong information if you put your own comprehension to it though you haven't attained enlightenment yet.

So the best way is to let them read or listen to the books which describes the truth such as "Initiation", "Beyond Life and Death", or monthly magazine of AUM Shinrikyo. Or you can let tehm listen to the cassette tape which speaks about the truth. These things are the basement of offering of the law. The offering of the law is the best merit of all.

If you thoroughly accumulate merit by these offerings, and observe precepts which I had mentioned, your spiritual practice is sure to develop in fast speed and the attainment of Raja Yoga will come to you.

The process after raja yoga

After the process of the perfection of Raja Yoga, one goes on to the process of Kundalini Yoga. People who went into this process is very energetic. Will is also strong.

In Kundalini Yoga, what is important is energy. In other words, how one can preserve life energy.

Generally, the ones who had entered the spiritual practice of Kundalini Yoga has strong sexual desire. This sexual desire is equal to the desire to live. One will rise the energy of "the desire to live", and break through the Sahasrara Chakra at the crown of one's head. And the attainment of Kundalini Yoga is the state when the energy had attained to the Causal world, and then to Mahayana.

The Kundalini Yoga will be perfected if one kept widening the path after that. At this time, there will be the state when there is no lack of energy at all. At the same time, energy stimulates the cerebrum and creates the special genious type of brain.

Shanti-Taishi (now, Sona-shi), Khema-Taishi (now, Maha-Khema Seitaishi), or Rakushmii-Taishi (now Sakra-Seigoshi) say that they used to be genious when they were small.

Then goes on to the process of Jnana Yoga. Here, one starts to analize everything in the state of transcending sexual desires. The true victor Sakyamuni attained self realization by analizing everything in this universe, and attained enlightenment.

Today, I explained mainly on Raja Yoga. Tomorrow, I am planning to give the explanation in detail about Kundalini Yoga. Let's discuss about Jnana Yoga once again on day after tomorrow.
